    Module 7: Potential Funding Sources

Potential funding sources for WVC reduction projects and research include traditional transportation programs and new non-transportation partners. Reducing WVCs can have many benefits, including: lower wildlife mortality rates, more protection for threatened or endangered species, improved habitat connectivity, and lower maintenance costs for carcass removal. Since these benefits reach beyond transportation safety, WVC mitigation can potentially access funding from non-transportation partners.
